Moxi MR-1500T3 HD Digital Video Recorder Review

After doing some research between the Moxi and Tivo HD, I made the terrible mistake of choosing a Moxi. I have to say that the potential is there to be a great product, but at this point in time (mid June 2009), it is not quite there yet.

The recordings show a lot of pixelation and audio drop-outs for both HD and non-HD channels. After several email exchanges with Moxi tech support, they told me that this is a known bug and will be fixed in the next software release.

I did not want to take the chance and be stuck with a $799 brick after Amazon's 30-day return period, and I certainly did not sign-up to beta-test a product, so I decided to return it after less than a week of ownership.

I'm going with Tivo HD.
